  "the immoral world in which we live threatens our unity.

  people joke about fornication, sing about it, watch it for entertainment, and practice it either in secret or openly.

  LOL UC yeah that is hideous! I agree it is to strip the last vestige of enjoyable contact with not only the world but JWs too. I remember at Bethel some would get their undies all bunched up over someone "flirting" and pounce all over them them like white on rice. I knew a few bethelites who got in big-time trouble for flirting.

  I don't know what it is about lighthouses. But I never have a good feeling when I see them. I can't describe what I feel, but it is a definite uneasiness.

  Unbeknownst to WT writers there are only two sexes on this planet. Male and female.

  When we are attracted to someone (male or female), it is because we like that person. Whether it be our personalities, interests or body chemistry, something clicks and we enjoy being around them. That is something to smile about and build on.

  Verbal abuse and the JW's

  in a previous post i mentioned how i just recently became aware of "verbal abuse" and how i am guilty of it in my personal life.

  some people think of verbal abuse as launching into a profanity laced tirade against someone.

  that is a shallow definition, what hit home for me was the term "reviling".

  There is so much verbal abuse among the JWs. From the platform to the car group. It's amazing. It's so hard to snap out of that way of living too. You think it's normal for people to always be telling you how sinful you are. That you should be doing MORE. That you should be examining your MOTIVES and HEART CONDITION.
